Our Big Fat Planet gets a Webby... host accepts graciously, with tan lines

The host of the blog "Our Big Fat Planet", a NASA Web site on climate change, is Amber Jenkins, a Ph.D. particle physicist into a second career as a science communicator. The site, "My Big Fat Planet", won a Webby award this past recent awards season. The award was the "People's Voice Award" for Best Science Web site.

Apparently, a requirement was that the acceptance speeches be only five words long. Here is her speech text:

"Earth. Your future. Our mission."

Here's the article, with the video of the acceptance speech.

Dr. Jenkins is also a looker, and a close inspection of her formal strapless black dress indicates that she's also recently been wearing swimwear while doing some solar radiation collection.
