Floating gobs of lava foam

That is just so cool.  I've seen footage of pillow lava forming underwater, I've seen footage of erupting underwater volcanoes, I've seen lots and lots of footage of deep sea hot water vents.

But this is a new kind of underwater eruption - one that forms pumice (that bubbly rock that floats) as a bubbly froth of molten foam.  However you say it, it is just so cool.

They call it a "tangaroan" eruption.

A rock that floats is cool anyway.  Sorry for so many 'cools', but science is great!
