The Chinese lunar lander, complete with its own rover, landed around December 15-16. Hard to tell for sure because I don't know the time conversion. Quite an accomplishment, because it's working
and already taking pictures of itself.
And because of the remarkableness of other satellites (like the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter),
pictures of it on the Moon have also been taken. I'm still very impressed by that.
Congrats to the Chinese. I'm not sure what science is being accomplished, but it's still not an easy task to land a working robot on another body in space, even if it happens to be the one closest to us.
