Messenger swings by Mercury one more time; next time, it stays

But first, some useless trivia. To get to the Google login page, I typed in "faham". Here's what "faham" is:

"The leaves of an orchid (Angraecum fragrans), of the islands of Bourbon and Mauritius, used (in France) as a substitute for Chinese tea."

Now, more importantly:

A really neat picture of Mercury from MESSENGER:

This was taken on the last flyby, two days ago. MESSENGER takes one more swing around the Sun and comes back to Mercury slow enough to go into orbit. It's hard for me to believe that this mission has been in space five years; it launched August 3, 2004. It doesn't seem like that long ago.
