Mount Ile Lewotolok volcano in Indonesia erupted a couple of days ago. It was a large (though not huge) eruption, coming after several months of seemingly lower than normal strong eruptive activity. There is no set schedule, of course, but it has seemed quiet on the volcanic front. Perhaps nature is sparing us that while we deal with the fallout from the ongoing pandemic.
So, given that circumstance, I'm providing a picture and a video. The beginning of the video is particularly impressive, showing initially what an eruption looks like in realtime, as the ash cloud rises slowly and ominously.
