Donald Trump claims he was joking about not thinking climate change is real. That means he does think it's real. At least that's what I think. It's hard to tell what goes on in the Donald's head. Well, here's what I've got out of this Daily Mail article:
Trump insists it was a 'joke' when he claimed the Chinese invented global warming
But what does he really think? Here's a couple of quotes. Let's try to figure that out.
'I think that climate change is just a very, very expensive form of tax. A lot of people are making a lot of money. I know much about climate change,' Trump said.So he says it's
Trump indeed said during a December 30 rally in Hilton Head, South Carolina that the modern climate change movement is 'a hoax. I mean, it's a money-making industry, okay? It's a hoax, a lot of it.'
He insisted that 'we don't have to destroy our economy' in order to protect the natural environment.
a) a hoax;
b) an expensive form of tax; and
c) a money-making industry.
Nowhere does he say it's real.
But it was just a joke when he said the Chinese invented it. So
d) the Chinese didn't invent it.
Clearly the Donald doesn't know much about the science of climate change. What he knows is how to pander to the gullible Republicans who are chowing down on what he's serving up. And that means he isn't going to say anything close to resembling that climate change is real. So if (perish the thought) he became President, he'd likely destroy our natural environment to protect our economy. It's the capitalist way and it's the Republican way.
