Obviously I'm making a reference to the movie, but these pictures of the Milky Way galaxy are absolutely remarkable. Don't trust me on that, look for yourself.
The 2024 Milky Way Photographer of the YearApparently every picture is a winner, and none of them are designated as the Best in Show.
Since I'm partial to Italy's Dolomites, I chose to showcase this one, by Andrea Curzi at Passo Giau in winter. It is remarkable in many of these pictures how the technology and the long exposures reveals the nebulae that aren't normally visible to the naked eye.
