Wimbledon 2025 at half-way point; so where is it?

It appears that automatic line-calling (ins or outs) isn't completely 100% foolproof yet.

That's one of the stories from Wimbledon 2025.

So, at this point, what can I say about it?

On the men's side, it will be stunning if neither Jannik Sinner or Carlos Alcaraz are in the final. It will be less stunning if they both make it there, and play another Grand Slam final like they did, epically, in the French Open final a month ago.

USA-based players Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton are still in it, at this point; I'd be mildly surprised if one of them makes it to the final, and majorly (ha) surprised if one of them wins it. But they both can serve, and Fritz can certainly return massive serves, so there's always a chance.

On the women's side, I can't see anyone stopping Aryna Sabalenka, because seeded players have not fared well thus far. Gauff, Pegula (sadly, she doesn't have a great record in Slams), Keys, and Qinwen Zheng all got knocked out early. Other than Sabalenka, the highest seeds left are Andreeva at #7 and Swiatek at #8, and Iga isn't a grass court specialist.  Amanda Anisimova is an intriguing possibility.

AA certainly gets some height on her serves!
